FAQs - PlayStation 2 (JP) - DDR Extreme: Dance Dance Revolution

DDR Extreme: Dance Dance Revolution was thought to be the last console release of DDR in Japan at the time, since no new arcade games had been announced in the time between its release and the arcade release of DDR Extreme. Accordingly, it is jam-packed with the most of the Konami Originals reintroduced in DDR Extreme AC, and includes a few special classics and new console songs designed to whet everyone's appetites.

User Support

DDR Extreme features an option labelled "User Support" in the Options menu. This can be used to unlock all locked content within DDRMAX and DDRMAX2 (Japanese versions only). Simply load up DDR Extreme, insert a memory card containing a System file for DDRMAX or DDRMAX2, and go to User Support. Select the lefthand option ("はい") both times you receive a prompt.

Note: User Support does *not* add songs from a previous version to DDR Extreme, nor vice versa. User Support simply unlocks whatever you have not already unlocked via regular methods.

Unlockable Songs

If you clear an item with a speed unlock, the next item in the list will move into its place.

Points are earned by clearing songs in Game Mode. The amount of points needed to unlock items starts at 5 points each, and will occasionally jump to 10 points. If multiple items have the same number in front of them (IE - MAX. (period) and MAX QUARTET), then all those items will unlock at the same time once that point value has been reached.
