Wtf? I never thought of this place as a cult. It's more like a huge community of people with the same interest which is DDR. _________________

I understand where you're coming from, but a cult does what they're told without thinking for themselves, and they separate themselves from other people. DDR players usually enjoy being around other people, especially to show off their skills. And they think for themselves, they only pick the songs they want to do. _________________

Isn't that like saying that, say, sports teams, are a cult because they share the same interests and get together and play a lot and go on long trips to compete? _________________

Well, according to Webster, a cult is defined as "Obsessive, especially faddish, devotion to or veneration for a person, principle, or thing"
Sure sounds like they're talking about us |

This doesn't seem like a cult cult, but it is definitely a cult. Again, not Jim Jones Cult of Sodoomy, more like "cult" film, or Star Trek (Okay, now that is a death-cult, but that's not the point.) DDR is many things beyond just a cult sensation. It's a community, a way to keep the Demon Fatticus off your buttocks, and most importantly, if you go over to Norway, it's a sport. So, refer to it ,if you will, as culture.
(With your logic of "cult," per se, all major sports are cults. Hmm!) _________________
