I am thinking that maybe DDR is adictive. BEcause sometimes when I don't play for awhile I get REAL sweaty. And all I can think about is DDR. SO I went to Therapy.... and now I am a expert. SO if any of you guys (men boys girls and women) are strugaling with this just ask me a question and I will try to help.

So getting probed makes you an expert?

We all help each other here. Don't be elitist.

Reenee, I think DrPhil means that he used to get DDR anxiety attacks where his brain got so worked up on wanting to play DDR and do DDR that his body physically drenched itself with sweat. And that's why Therapy was needed. Once he could control those emotions he could settle down and play better and now he's an expert.

I think I understand your position DrPhil but let me know if I have it wrong. You may also want to edit your first post and reword it a little better to have people here take you seriously. They're like Pirahnas sometimes riiight.gif

I know that when I haven't played in a while (like now -- it's been a week) I'm feeling a little antsy but right now I have other motivations keeping me from DDRing: my 8 week old son. So I learn to live with it or pick up a single set of songs at the AC on the way home from work.

Moderation is key and resolving or curving those obsessive compulsive thoughts (or at least recognizing them and working through them) will help too.

DDR is definitely addictive. I'm taking a 2-day break from it to let my legs recover, and I miss it already. biggrin.gif However, I'm passing the time by making an edit for Drop Out.

Just to put things straight quickly. You are saying you are an expert in curing DDR addiction. However, addiction is not the same for everyone and just because you were treated doesn't mean you know how the treatment works, per se. There might be other factors that you weren't aware of during the therapy.

What makes you so sure that you know what you are talking about?

If you're having anxiety attacks when you are unable to play DDR, you probably need therapy period.

No, he's not Dr. Phil. If he was, he would have the amazing ability to make the period in Dr. the dot in his I, which is obviously has not.
