Can the DTXplorer kit be used to play DTXMania? Do I just need a MIDI cable? how do I set it up once I do get the cable, do I need to install any drivers or software etc..?
Does it also work on PS2 for drummania? the DTXplorer only has MIDI, no USB so is there a way to get it connected? |

I believe you'll need a MIDI>USB converter. Also, it'll only work on 4th Mix/3rd Mix and higher.
I can't help you with sims though. Not my department at all. |

You'll need the Yamaha UX-16 MIDI-to-USB cable in order to get your drums to work with your PS2. Other converters will most likely not work since the games do not have the needed drivers (this is the reason why it'll only work with GF4/DM3 and above -- the earlier games don't have support for the converter built in). |

Like you said, the PS2 only has USB ports and the DTXplorer has MIDI out, so yes you need the UX-16. |

I mean can I use other midi-to-usb cables with V? |

Most likely not. Other people have tried other cables without luck. |
