It came from the Konami game called Gradius, a shooter game. The song is awesome...anyway. Graduisic Cyber (not sure if it's spelled right) also came from that game if you were wondering. |

Yeah, I remember unlocking Gradiusic Cyber in Max and being like "This sounds awfully familiar..." I think that was a little more subtle though. Burning Heat utterly reeks of 8-bit orchestration. Hell, there's a part in there that I could swear was from Zelda. |

You can tell very easily, the video of the plane which I love is also in Grad Cyber, Burning Heat, and if I remember Leading Cyber. _________________

It is awsome. And I love how they have the Vic Viper in the back ground (I bought the 2 gradius Yu-Gi-Oh cards to use as book marks: Vic Viper and the Option).
Is Gradiusic Cyber from Gradius? What game, exactly? 'Cause I didn't think it was... |

That's because it's not necessarily from Gradius. ^^; It's from Gradius 2: Gofer no Yabou. I'm not sure that game saw very wide release in America if at all, and if so it was only in arcades. The NES version, which people would have been more familiar with, never game out here. Instead, we got Life Force AKA Salamander in Japan. Though if I had to guess, I'd say Gradius 2 never came out here because it's REALLY hard. o_o I don't mind the challenge, but I doubt it would have done well here. |

yea i was gonna say...i just went through the entire game of gradius (NES) while having the burning heat song playing. and there was no similarity. so i was like...gradius 2 maybe if there is one? what about grad. cyber? i didnt hear that in there. is that from gradius 2 also? thanks for clearing that first part up. damn gradius with game genie still sucked. i hate those voodoo face guys that fire rings. damn near impossible guys. such a hard game, but great none-the-less. well if there are any other songs that come from other games, tell me i would love to know about them if i didnt already. and i agree, castlevania is godlike. _________________

Oh yeah, forgot about Gradiusic Cyber. I have personally come to the conclusion that that's not really from any Gradius game. Rather, it's sort of Gradius-like music with some Gradius sound effects thrown in to make it sound interesting. I've played the song dozens of times and played through most of the Gradius games and haven't heard anything that sounds remotely like it. It MIGHT be in Gradius 2 but I haven't heard it in the levels I've gotten through (only 1, 2, and part of 3 so far >_<)
As for songs from other Konami games, well, there's Twinbee Generation X, which is a medley of various songs from the vertical shooter Twinbee (released as Stinger in the U.S., I think), and Xenon is a remix of music from an older Konami game of the same name (Xenon). There's also a remix of some Metal Gear music in a Beatmania game but I can't remember what it's called at the moment. Sorry! |

*sigh*
Burning Heat did indeed come from Gradius II, the very first level for those of you too impatient to find where. Gradiusic Cyber... I THINK it just used sounds from Gradius, though I'm not positive on that one. As for Leading Cyber... no relation as far as I know. _________________

Honestly, I just looked in the information section of the song, and found out it was from the "Gradius series" I think. It didn't say specifically which Gradius game it came from...same with Gradiusic Cyber. So there. |
